May 12, 2016

Washington D.C. - The National Jewish Democratic Council welcomes the appointment of Chanan Weissman as an associate director of public engagement and the White House liaison to the American Jewish community. Weissman replaces Matt Nosanchuk, who left the White House this spring to join the State Department as a senior adviser in the Office of Religion and Global Affairs in the Office of the Secretary.

NJDC issued the following statement:

“We are thrilled by Chanan Weissman’s appointment as White House liaison to the Jewish community. His strong Jewish background combined with his years of government service make him an excellent choice for this position. NJDC looks forward to working with Chanan on matters of importance to the Jewish community.

“We also are immensely grateful to Matt Nosanchuk for the excellent job he did at the White House, and are delighted that we will continue to have opportunities to work with him.”
