
Representative Ronald "Ron" Klein was elected to represent the 22nd congressional district of Florida in 2006. Klein was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1992 where he built a reputation for work on a variety of issues including improving education, toughening criminal justice laws, providing greater access to healthcare, and expanding use of technology in the public and private sectors. Klein is proud of his work to pass the Holocaust Education Act, which mandated the teaching about the lessons of the Holocaust in all of Florida's public schools. He is also a leader in the Democratic efforts on insurance reform. Previous to his election to Congress, Klein served in the Florida State Senate rising to become Minority Whip and Senate Democratic Leader. He serves on the Foreign Affairs and Financial Services Committees. He is married to Dori Dragin. They live in Boca Raton and have three children.
