Joe Lieberman

Senator Joseph Lieberman has served in the Senate since 1988. Lieberman was the vice-presidential candidate for the Democratic Party in 2000, but following his 2006 Senate election, he switched to be an Independent. He has been an influential voice on a wide range of security issues and is a constant voice for Israel in the Senate. He is the chairman of Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Lieberman lives in Stamford, Connecticut and Washington with his wife Hadassah. They have four children and five grandchildren.
