NJDC stands firmly behind Obama's decision to nominate Solicitor General Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court- that's why we're asking for your help! Please join us in asking members of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the full Senate for a speedy and successful confirmation process. Please sign our petition to show the Senate that the Jewish community is proud that President Obama has made such an excellent choice for the Supreme Court and that it is important Kagan be confirmed this summer!

Dear Senators:
Solicitor General Elena Kagan is a uniquely accomplished candidate with impressive academic and professional qualifications. She brings with her a commitment to upholding our Constitutional values and a deep understanding of the needs of ordinary Americans. Her record demonstrates a deep appreciation of the importance of the Establishment Clause's prohibition on endorsement of religion. She will be a thoughtful and compassionate addition to a Court that has become increasingly divided in favor of corporate interests and the wealthy.
It is critical to have a new justice confirmed in time to prepare and participate when the Court confers in September and selects cases to be heard for the upcoming term. I urge you to make sure that the confirmation process is speedy and respectful.
Please vote to confirm Kagan before your summer recess.
