Tell The Senate, It's Time to Act!

President Barack Obama believes it is important for the Senate to vote to confirm Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court before the August recess. This will allow the new justice time to prepare and participate when the Court confers in September and selects cases to be heard this year.  

NJDC agrees with the President and encourages you to get involved now! Please sign the petition to show the Senate that the Jewish Community is proud that President Obama has made such an excellent choice for the Supreme Court and that it is important the Sotomayor be confirmed this summer.

Dear Senators:

President Barack Obama has shown sound judgment and profound respect for the Supreme Court by nominating Judge Sonia Sotomayor to serve on our highest court. Her quintessential American story and strong legal career provide Sotomayor with unique qualifications to be the next Supreme Court justice. 

It is critical to have a new justice confirmed in time to prepare and participate when the Court confers in September and selects cases to be heard for the upcoming term. I urge you to make sure that the confirmation process is timely and respectful.

Please vote to confirm Sotomayor before your August recess.
