In Presidential Bid, Former Sen. Jim Webb Promises “Leadership You Can Trust”

Today, former Virginia Senator Jim Webb officially announced his candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination, becoming the fifth Democrat to run. The National Jewish Democratic Council welcomed Webb’s candidacy, praising his commitment to supporting the issues most important to American-Jewish voters.

Webb has dedicated his career to defending the safety and security of the country and all our worldwide allies. Addressing his hometown of Baltimore, MD today, former governor Martin O’Malley announced that he will officially seek the Democratic nomination for President in 2016, joining former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). The National Jewish Democratic Council welcomed Gov. O’Malley to the race, praising his record of success in Maryland and his actions on the issues most important to the American Jewish community.
