Jewish Dems: Why the GOP Silence on Trump’s Jewish Stereotyping?

Yesterday, the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination, Donald Trump, “repeatedly mentioned the business savvy of his audience, seemingly invoking stereotypes about Jews as dealers and moneymakers, pulling the strings of government.”

“Donald Trump has been remarkably offensive throughout his candidacy, but to make these sorts of remarks before a Jewish audience is a new level of outrageousness.  Despite the fact that Trump is leading the Republican field, he is fundamentally unserious and during these dangerous times his offensiveness is becoming more and more dangerous. While Trump continues to find ways to be more absurd, we are mostly surprised by the deafening silence from the Republican Party’s top leaders and, most notably, the Republican Jewish Coalition itself,” said Greg Rosenbaum, NJDC’s chair. “It is all but certain that Trump would be overwhelmingly defeated in the general election, but it is beyond shocking that so many Republicans are willing to take such a risk with our nation’s future. Where have all the adults in the Republican Party gone?”
