According to Ynet news, Iranian officials left an interfaith conference in Kazakhstan when Israeli President Shimon Peres began to address the assembly.

Ynet quoted one Iranian delegate as saying Peres “plunders land and occupies, and we are not willing to hear him.”

Peres reportedly “praised” a 2002 Arab peace plan that offered “full normalization [with Arab states] in return for [an Israeli] withdrawal from territory conquered in the 1967 Six Day War, a Palestinian State and an equitable solution to the Palestinian refugee problem.”
