The Neurotic Democrat blog has an excellent review of a Neal Gabler article appearing in the The Boston Globe.
Gabler, according to Neurotic Democrat, outlines four reasons why President Barack Obama’s efforts to accomplish certain initiatives have been frustrated.
The article cites a passive American population, the tremendous growth of lobbyists, the twenty-four hour news cycle, and the Republicans who seem “dedicated to total obstructionism.”
Gabler’s conclusion is somewhat depressing, “we all know the nation is broken, but we may no longer have the will or the institutions to fix it…”.
Obama will address health care reform at a press conference scheduled for this evening.
