NJDC Condemns Threats Against Speaker Pelosi

As we wrote when Rep. Eric Cantor was targeted with such unacceptable rhetoric, the National Jewish Democratic Council condemned in the strongest possible way the recent threats made against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and all other political leaders, including Senator Patty Murray (D-WA). Threats of violence against elected officials have no place in our political discourse and they should be condemned by all, regardless of party affiliation. As NJDC CEO Ira N. Forman wrote last week, “If we’re to have a thriving democracy, none of us can remain silent in the face of such physical threats that imperil the lives and safety of our elected officials.”
