As the health care reform debate heats up, many Jewish organizations are placing themselves in line with the Obama administration. Among the groups supporting the White House’s public insurance plan are B’nai B’rith, United Jewish Communities, and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, among others.

From the JTA article:

“As the health care reform debate heats up, Jewish organizations are siding with the Obama administration on several key points, including the creation of a government-run public insurance option and pushing for measures that would help the rapidly aging Jewish community.”

President Barack Obama supports a public option, commenting that it is “wise policy and [the] right thing” for America.
