Anti-Obama Sentiment Exposes Dangerous Republican Lunacy

Ever since President Barack Obama became a contender for the presidency, the right wing has lobbed smears at him and his policies on a daily basis. The smears have definitely kicked up during the healthcare debate, but check out this gem from the weekend.

Representative Wally Herger (R-CA) hails self-proclaimed “right wing terrorist.”

Also, Los Angeles Times columnist James Rainey wrote a great piece that sums up the anti-Obama climate. In the piece, Rainey mentions David Frum’s, former speechwriter for President George W. Bush, assessment of the situation, which is also in line with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Kieth Olberman, and Rachel Maddow. This is getting dangerous. Something needs to change.
