The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) congratulates NJDC Vice-Chair Sunita Leeds and NJDC Board member Stephen Bittel for their recent election as At-Large members of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). They will both serve on the Rules and Bylaws Committee and Leeds will also sit on the DNC’s Executive Committee.

“NJDC is proud to have Sunita and Stephen as invaluable parts of our leadership. Sunita’s and Stephen’s advice, guidance, and energy will be a great asset to the DNC,” said Marc R. Stanley, Chairman of NJDC. “NJDC congratulates our good friends and wishes them continued success in their DNC roles.”

NJDC’s Board of Directors continues to be well represented at the national level of the DNC. As DNC leadership, Leeds and Bittel will join NJDC Board member June Fischer, of New Jersey, who has been a DNC member since 1984 serving in many prominent leadership positions during her tenure.  In addition, long time NJDC member, Susan Turnbull, is currently Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party and has worked in numerous Democratic Party leadership positions at the local, state and national levels.
