Marc R. Stanley, Chairman of the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC), released the following statement:

We mourn the loss of the nearly 200 murdered by the cowardly terrorist attacks in Mumbai. This needless terror showed complete disregard for human life, and those responsible must be held accountable. The attacks also remind us of the all too familiar reality that terrorists continue to target innocent civilians, including United States, British, and Israeli citizens, and Jews. We send our condolences to the families of the many victims who were murdered or wounded by this unspeakable act of terror.
