Israeli media outlets are reporting that a Palestinian teenager was executed by family members in the West Bank after he was suspected of “collaborating with Israel.”
Raed Sualha, 15, from the West Bank town of Qalqiliya, was reportedly tortured and then hanged. Palestinian police reported that the boy’s father, uncle and cousin confessed to
the murder.
Authorities are still investigating other motives for the murder because, “it is unlikely,” according to Haaretz, “someone so young would be recruited as an informer.”
Haaretz also reported that over the last two years more than 30 death sentences have been handed down, but none have been carried out.
