Why is Pat Buchanan Defending Adolf Hitler?

Aaron Keyak — September 3, 2009 – 10:35 am | Abusive Holocaust Rhetoric | Republicans Comments (5) Add a comment

Yesterday, I posted a Huffington Post piece in response to a column by Pat Buchanan where he defended Adolf Hitler and his role in World War II. No, I’m not kidding, take a look at Buchanan’s column for yourself.

Here’s an excerpt of what I wrote for Huffington Post:

In a piece titled “Just how crazy is Pat Buchanan,” Ethan Porter writes on his blog, “Mr. Obama’s Neighborhood,” that Buchanan’s latest comments reflect “revisionism that comes perilously close to denial”

[ … ]

It is hard to be surprised by a man who has written many columns concerning World War II revisionism, but this may be his worst yet.

However, what may be most surprising is why Buchanan still has a job.

Actually, there is a place on MSNBC where he may belong - you would have to ask Keith Olbermann about that one.

In this book Pat Buchanan has gone off the deep end. Certainly Hitler was more than willing to expand Germany by diplomatic means rather than war. But he was preparing for war all along to achieve his long-term objective of “Deutschland ueber Alles”  - Germany over everyone else.

I’m boycotting MSNBC and NBC.  If they had an KKK sympathizer on their station, he would be short-lived.  Where is the outrage?  They fired Don Imus for much less.

What a disgrace!!  Saying that Pat actually trying to “defend” Adolf Hitler is ludicis.  He was merely trying to state a point about the beginning of the second world war.  And the pressure that the NJDC put on MSNBC is shameful and disgraceful.  So, I guess the next time that one of the members of the NJDC puts an article on another website, then maybe myself and my friends should try to get your article taken off of the web?  It would not be very fair, woud it?  If you have a problem with Pat’s article, I suggest you do the good thing, and make a counter article and argue your point!!  This is a democracy, MSNBC and any other website are free to put any article on that they want.  What a shame!!!!!!
