Israeli National Security Adviser Uzi Arad told the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that President Barack Obama’s dedication to Israel’s well-being and security was “[Israel’s] insurance policy.” Yediot Ahronoth reported:

National Security Advisor Uzi Arad told the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Monday that US President Barack Obama’s commitment to Israel’s security was “our insurance policy”.

“The United States if [sic] strategically committed to Israel’s security, in terms of the international community’s demands on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty,” Arad said. “President Obama made this clear in his own voice in his recent meeting with the prime minister, and the American administration made it clear in writing in the past few weeks. This is our insurance policy.”

The national security advisor told the MKs that the remarks were “meaningful”. [sic]

“The written statements of the United States, which arrived several weeks before the Washington visit, said that Israel defined its own security needs. This is a meaningful statement by the White House. The US is in fact saying that it is attentive and understands Israel’s security needs.”

It’s a shame how many right-wing, conservative Jews have no idea of Obama’s support for Israel. It’s even more sad that they yearn for the days of Bush. Obama is much better for Israel. If people would only look into the facts. I totally support Obama.
