NJDC Applauds Historic Senate Confirmation of Sotomayor

Today, Marc R. Stanley, Chairman of the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC), released the following statement:

NJDC applauds the Senate’s vote to confirm Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. This is truly a historic moment for our country and the Court. We are deeply proud that our nation’s highest court will now include its first Hispanic justice who will be only the third women to serve on that Court.

Judge Sotomayor has impeccable credentials and is committed to our constitutional values, rights, and liberties. She will be an outstanding addition to our nation’s highest court.
