This afternoon, Marc R. Stanley, NJDC Chairman, sent the following email wishing Ira a refuah sheleimah:
Our beloved Executive Director, Ira N. Forman, the leader of NJDC since 1996, underwent successful heart surgery today. NJDC has set up an e-card you can sign to wish Ira a refuah sheleimah (speedy and complete recovery). The Huffington Post highlighted Ira in a recent article, “Obama, Others, Send Get-Well Wishes as Prominent Jewish Democrat Falls Ill,” which noted that Ira has had, “no shortage of people sending their well wishes, from the mayor of Washington D.C., to the vice president and the president himself.”

We thank everyone for the outpouring of support and prayers during this time.
Wishing you a very speedy recovery. My husband had a triple bypass two and half years ago and he is doing fine now. I hope you get well soon and go back to your activities as soon as possible.
Recovery is slow so be patient and believe in yourself that you will be back to normal or better.:)
My prayers are with you and your family and hope you will be able to celebrate Pesach with your family.:)
Happy Passover.
