NJDC Mourns Bill Dockser

Following the death of William B. Dockser, the National Jewish Democratic Council released the following statement:

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend Bill Dockser, who has passed away at age 79. Bill was married to his wife, Sonnie for 35 beautiful years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sonnie and Bill’s seven children and stepchildren, Brad, Evan and Karen, and Lauren, Jill, Richard and Diane – and Bill and Sonnie’s 17 extraordinary grandchildren. Among his many remarkable achievements, Bill had served as chairman of both the National Jewish Democratic Council and the Solomon Project. There was no one who was more passionate about Jewish values and politics and no one who fought harder for tikkun olam, repairing our society and the world around us. Bill was also a tremendously accomplished sailor who saw great achievement within the sport, and he was always at home on the water all over the world. He is an inspiration to us all and will be greatly missed.”
