Denial Now in Theaters

Professor Deborah Lipstadt’s book History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier is now a feature film. Deborah Lipstadt is a professor of Modern Jewish History Studies and Holocaust Studies at Emory University and is well known for her legal battle with David Irvin, a British Holocaust denier.

The film follows the trial that David Irvin brings up against Deborah Lipstadt, accusing her of libel when she calls him a Holocaust denier. Throughout the film Lipstadt refuses to debate the occurrence of the Holocaust because the Holocaust happened. Instead, she disputes the historical accuracies of Irvin’s research and evidence, which ultimately wins her the case.

Although David Irvin and others continue to deny the Holocaust, Lipstadt’s success in court, as well as her books and this new film shed light on the truth.
