National Jewish Democratic Council

Young Leadership

If you're a young Jewish Democrat (age 23-40) looking to learn, make a difference, socialize and network with other young Jewish Democrats, look no further!

Started in 1998, NJDC's Young Leadership program has built a truly dynamic mechanism for recruiting young Jewish Democratic leaders. Through innovative programming and an involved lay-leadership, NJDC Young Leadership has quadrupled in size since the beginning of 1999 - increasing from fewer than 300 members at the end of 1998 to more than 1000 members today nationwide.

Our Washington-area Young Leadership chapter has hosted educational programs focusing on pertinent political issues, bringing hundreds of young Jewish leaders into the political discussion. Young Leadership members have heard from such distinguished speakers as Vice President Al Gore, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, and dozens of U.S. Representatives and Senators. In addition, our annual black-tie gala has provided an opportunity for hundreds of young Jewish Democrats to network, talk politics and enjoy a wonderful evening of music and dancing.

NJDC's Young Leadership program is now expanding to New York City, Los Angeles and Boston. Replicating the success of the Washington-based program, these chapters will provide young Jewish Democratic professionals with the chance to meet like-minded peers, engage issues of the day, and become politically involved.
